lemon

Huahua often drinks lemon water. One cup a day can help keep her stomach and intestines smooth. I heard it also has the effect of beautifying the skin. The market price of lemons is not low. After thinking about it, I decided to plant a lemon tree myself!

1. Potted plant selection

Many flower lovers will ask, can lemons be grown in the north? Huahua can tell you for sure that it is impossible to grow it as a crop, but it is definitely possible to grow it in a pot and produce a few fruits.

Lemons can indeed be sown, but after sowing, they can only be grown as green leaf potted plants and will not grow large, let alone bloom and bear fruit. There are many lemon seedlings on the market. Huahua will help you choose.

Lemon seedlings usually bear fruit after more than 3 years, so you should buy seedlings that are more than 3 years old.

New potted plants need an adaptation period. If you buy them during the flowering period, it is easy to have problems. So either buy lemons that have not yet bloomed or buy lemons that have already borne fruit.

2. Slow down the basin

Newly bought lemons may have yellow leaves or fall off due to changes in temperature and humidity. Don't panic, this is normal.

Place the lemon in a cool and ventilated place at home. Do not water it for the time being. Wait for about 5-7 days. As long as the main stem is still alive, you can move it to a sunny place and water it normally.

If the situation does not improve at this time, you can add some nutrient solution, 5ml of nutrient solution to 1000ml of water, and water it once every half a month.

3. Maintenance methods:

As long as the lemon seedlings survive, everything will be easy afterwards. The maintenance method is simple and easy to operate.

Soil: Spread broken tiles on the bottom of the pot, add fertilizer soil, garden soil, and expanded clay

Water: Water every 2-3 days

Light: Light-loving, ensure more than 6 hours of light per day

Fruiting period: Blooms three times a year, bears fruit in spring and summer

blueberry

The sour and sweet blueberries are not only delicious when eaten raw, but can also be made into dried blueberries, suitable for all ages. Plant them quickly~

1. Potted plant selection

As long as you choose the right variety, flower lovers from all over the world can grow blueberries and eat their own blueberries. You can refer to the map below:

Northern flower lovers choose northern highbush blueberries, while southern flower lovers choose southern highbush blueberries. In the southernmost regions such as Guangdong, Fujian, Hainan, and Taiwan, the temperature is too high and blueberries cannot form white frost, so they are not suitable for growing blueberries.

2. Maintenance methods:

Once you have chosen the right blueberry variety, you can start growing it boldly.

Soil: nutrient soil, leaf humus mixed garden soil, alkaline soil can be mixed with 5g sulfuric acid to neutralize

Water: It likes acid and can be watered with acid water once a month (vinegar water or citric acid water diluted 500 times)

Light: likes shade, suitable for indoor and north balcony

Cooling capacity: Blueberries need to be kept below 7 degrees in winter to ensure flowering and fruiting next year

Wolfberry

Huahua now adds some wolfberry to her tea, but the wolfberries on the market are generally added with pigments and sweeteners, which makes me feel uneasy. We can also grow wolfberries ourselves.

1. North-South Differences

Wolfberry is cold-resistant, so it can be grown in both the north and the south, but there are differences in planting. It can bear fruit in the north, but not in the south. However, the leaves are edible and have the same health-preserving effects.

2. Maintenance methods:

Soil: nutrient soil, sandy soil mixed with ordinary garden soil, add base fertilizer to the bottom of the pot

Water: Water once every 2-3 days in spring and autumn, and control water during summer and winter dormancy

Light: Likes light, full sun in spring, autumn and winter, shade in summer when the temperature is high

Note: Pruning can be done around the Spring Festival

Orange Tree

Flower lovers may have bought orange trees during the Chinese New Year. At that time, orange trees were all New Year flowers planted in greenhouses. They were difficult to keep alive. It is better to grow them now so that you can eat oranges in late summer.

1. Potted plant selection

Similar to lemons, although they cannot be grown into large trees in the north, they can still bear fruit in potted plants, so don’t be discouraged, just plant them if you want.

2. Maintenance methods:

Soil: leaf mold, sandy soil mixed with garden soil

Water: Water every day in spring, water in the morning and evening in summer, and control water in autumn and winter

Light: Like light, slightly shade-tolerant

Fertilization: You can add bean cake fertilizer, egg shell fertilizer
