Jasper flower cultivation methods and precautions

Jasper flower cultivation methods and precautions

1. Breeding methods

1. Soil selection

It is extremely fond of humus-rich, loose, well-drained soil. When potting it, it is best to choose soil that is a mixture of leaf mold, river sand, and a little base fertilizer, which will be more conducive to its growth.

2. Reasonable watering

When it is in its best growth period, we must give it enough water, especially in the high temperature period in summer, and we must increase the amount of watering. It is best to water it once in the morning and evening. This will ensure the humidity in the soil and air, and make the leaves become unusually green. In winter, when the temperature is lower, it is easy for it to enter a dormant period, so reduce watering and keep the soil in the pot properly dry.

3. Reasonable fertilization

The culture soil is usually changed every 2 to 3 years, so fertilization does not need to be too frequent. Generally in autumn, it is sufficient to apply fertilizer every 10 days. In summer, you must stop fertilizing to prevent root rot.

4. Temperature control

It likes warm, humid and semi-shady environment, and the best temperature is 25 degrees. In winter, the best temperature is between 10 and 15 degrees. If it is lower than this range, it must be taken good care of, otherwise it will easily freeze to death.

5. Lighting control

It is relatively shade-tolerant, so it does not require much light. It only needs to be placed in a sunny place indoors all year round. Especially in spring and autumn, you can give it more light, but not too strong or too weak, otherwise the leaves will lose their luster.

2. Precautions

1. Appropriate pinching

When growing it, when the plant grows to 10 cm in height, it should be topped off appropriately to promote the growth of side branches.

2. Shade maintenance

In spring, autumn and summer, you should pay attention to giving it shade, and only in winter can it be safely exposed to the sun.

3. Move indoors in time in autumn

It is very afraid of frost, so at the end of autumn, it should be moved indoors for maintenance.
