Which city's flower is the rose?

1. Which city’s city flower is the rose?

Rose is the city flower of many cities, including Beijing, Tianjin, Handan, Langfang, Zhengzhou, Jiaoyang, Jiaozuo, Shangqiu, Sanmenxia, Zhumadian, Shijiazhuang, Nanchang, Liaoyang, Shashi, Suqian, Changzhou, Anqing, Xi'an, Weihai, Dalian, Wuhu, Changzhi, Bengbu, Huaibei, Huainan, Laiqingdao, Jining, Hengyang, Deyang, Xichang, Changzhi, and Fengzhou. Rose is one of the top ten famous flowers in my country. It blooms all year round and has a very high ornamental value.

2. Morphological characteristics of roses

Rose is an upright shrub, 1-2 meters high, with thick cylindrical branches. The leaflets are broadly ovate to ovate-oblong, with serrated edges, glabrous on both sides, dark green above and lighter in color beneath. Several flowers grow in clusters with rich colors, including pink, red, white, yellow, etc. The petals are double to semi-double. The flowering period is long, lasting from April to around September, and even in some areas it can bloom in winter.

3. Growth habits of roses

1. Soil: Roses are not particularly demanding on climate and soil during their growth period, but if they can be cultivated in loose, breathable, organic-rich and slightly acidic soil, they will grow more vigorously, grow stronger and bloom better.

2. Light: Rose is a very light-loving plant. It can only grow vigorously and bloom on schedule in an environment with sufficient light. Therefore, whether it is planted in the ground or in potted plants, the need for light must be met.

3. Temperature: Roses do not have high requirements for temperature, but it is best if the temperature can be provided between 15-26℃, so they can grow better. When the temperature drops below 5℃ in winter, it will stop growing and enter a dormant stage, but some varieties can withstand temperatures as low as minus 15℃.
