Vegetables for spring planting

Vegetables for spring planting

1. Lettuce

The temperature between March and April in spring is very stable and the climate is relatively suitable, so lettuce can be planted at this time. When planting, you must choose plump and full seeds. You also need to prepare the land first to ensure that the soil is loose and fertile, so that the lettuce can germinate and grow better.

2. Chrysanthemum

Chrysanthemum has a certain degree of cold resistance and can be planted in early spring. It also has a certain degree of shade tolerance and does not require much light. When planting, just choose a plot with loose and fertile soil.

3. Spinach

Spinach prefers a slightly cool environment and is usually sown in early spring. It is best to germinate the seeds before sowing to allow them to absorb enough water. This will promote better germination in the later stage and the germination rate will be higher.

4. Leek

Chives are one of the common vegetables in our life, and spring is the time to plant chives. You can choose to buy leek roots and plant them, or you can sow them. However, the growth rate of seed propagation is slower.

5. Coriander

However, coriander seeds need special processing before sowing, and it is recommended to soak them to germinate. If it is sown directly, the germination rate will be very low and the germination time will be relatively long.

6. Garlic Sprouts

Garlic sprouts can also be planted in spring. The garlic heads can be planted directly in the soil, or the garlic can be planted after germination. The climate and temperature are relatively suitable, the germination rate is very high, and it is also easy to manage. Note that the seedlings consume a lot of water during the seedling stage, so water them frequently to meet their water needs.

7. Scallions

Scallions can be planted after the temperature stabilizes in spring. Sprinkle the shallot seeds directly on the soil surface, then cover with a thin layer of soil. Spray an appropriate amount of water to keep them moist, and they will soon sprout.
