The difference between Chengmei and Dayipin, which one is better

The difference between Chengmei and Dayipin, which one is better

1. Difference

1. Different leaves: Chengmei and Dayipin are somewhat similar, but there are differences between them. In terms of leaves, although they are all quite graceful, the leaves of Chengmei appear to be slightly larger and wider, about 45-50 cm long and about 1-1.5 cm wide. If you look closely, you will find that the serrations on the edges of the leaves are more obvious, and they appear thicker and more prominent. The leaves of the large first-class plant are relatively small and narrow, about 40-50 cm long and only about 0.8-1 cm wide, with relatively small serrations.

2. Different flowers: The flower shapes of Chengmei and Dayipin are even more different. Chengmei is a red-shelled plum petal, and its lip belongs to the dragon-swallowing tongue, with bright red spots in the tongue. The flowers of the large first-class variety are very large, about 6-7 cm in diameter, and the lip is a large Ruyi tongue.

3. Different flower stems: They can also be distinguished from the flower stems. The flower stems of Chengmei are thicker and taller, while the flower stems of Dayipin are thinner and softer.

4. Different discovery times: Although Chengmei and Dayipin have a history of more than 200 years, Dayipin was discovered slightly later than Chengmei.

2. Which is better?

Both Chengmei and Dayipin are very ornamental, and the choice mainly depends on your own preferences. Dayipin is available in larger quantities, so the price is lower. Chengmei is in smaller quantities and in short supply, so the price is more expensive.
