Cultivation methods and precautions of mulberry tree

Cultivation methods and precautions of mulberry tree

1. Soil

The mulberry tree has a strong adaptability to the land and has no special requirements for its growing environment. If planted in loose, fertile and well-drained soil, its leaves will be larger; if planted in poor soil, its leaves will be relatively small.

2. Lighting

It likes sunlight and is also shade tolerant. It can be planted in a place with sufficient light and good ventilation, which makes it easier to maintain and manage.

3. Temperature

It grows best in warm environments but is also hardy to cold weather. The most suitable temperature for its growth in a year is 15-23℃. During the high temperature in summer, proper shade and cooling are needed. The temperature should not be lower than 5℃ in winter to prevent frost damage.

4. Watering

It thrives in slightly humid conditions but is very drought tolerant. Be sure to water thoroughly each time, and water again when the soil is dry. Generally, it only needs to be watered once every 2-3 days in summer, spring and autumn, and once every 7 days in winter. Water accumulation is prohibited to avoid damage to the root system.

5. Fertilization

It likes fertilizer, so you can apply some organic fertilizer. Reasonable fertilization can improve the nutrient status of the soil and be more conducive to its growth. In addition, during the growth period, you can apply some urea to make the plants grow stronger.
