1. Datura stramonium

The flower of this datura is white or light yellow-green; its stems are light green, cylindrical, and relatively thick.

The leaves of Datura are alternate, opposite at the top, gradually becoming pointed at the top, with asymmetrical wedges at the base and irregular wavy shallow cracks. The overall shape is broad oval.

The flowers of Datura are solitary, growing between branch forks or in leaf axils, erect and with short stalks.

Its value: Its leaves, flowers and seeds can all be used as medicine. It is mainly used to treat cough, asthma, facial sores, traumatic injuries, etc.

2. Purple Datura

The flowers of this datura are purple; the stems are also purple, growing obliquely or nearly upright, and very rarely creeping, covered with hairless leaves.

Its leaves are opposite, grow in an oval shape, and have sparse, blunt serrations on the edges.

The inflorescence of purple datura is single or cymose and grows in the leaf axils.

3. Thornless Datura

The fruit of this type of Datura has no thorns on the surface; its flowers are white, crystal clear and very beautiful.

Its flowers are purple, white, etc.

The valuable use of the thornless datura is that its seed oil can be used to make soap and mix with paint.
