The cultivation methods and precautions of Tongtuo Wood

1. Soil

The soil conditions of the thunbergia ovata are not very demanding. It grows well in red soil, brown soil, brown soil and sandy soil, especially in loose, fertile and well-drained sandy soil.

2. Lighting

It is suitable for growing in sunny places. It is recommended to plant it on a balcony or outdoors in a sunny and ventilated place, so that it can grow better.

3. Temperature

It likes a warm environment and is not cold-resistant. The temperature in winter must not be lower than 8℃. During low temperatures, it is necessary to keep it warm to help it survive the winter safely. The most suitable growth temperature for it in a year is 15-25℃, and it needs proper shade and cooling in summer.

4. Watering

It is suitable for growing in a humid environment, is not drought-resistant and is afraid of waterlogging. When the soil is dry, you need to water it immediately. It is best to keep the soil moist at all times. Be sure to water it thoroughly each time, but do not allow water to accumulate, otherwise it will damage the roots of the plant. Under normal circumstances, it is sufficient to water the plants once every two days in summer, spring and autumn. In winter, the frequency of watering should be reduced appropriately, and it is sufficient to water the plants once every five days or so.

5. Fertilization

It likes fertilizer, and applying some farmyard manure during the growth period will be more conducive to its growth. However, farmyard manure must be fully decomposed before it can be used, and topdressing can be done about twice a year.
