The breeding methods and precautions of Duheng

The breeding methods and precautions of Duheng

1. Soil

Duheng is suitable for growing in moist soil rich in humus. During the breeding process, you can use loose, fertile, well-drained sandy soil and add some leaf mold, which will be more conducive to its growth.

2. Lighting

It is suitable for growing in shady and humid places and is afraid of strong light. It can be planted in a well-ventilated place under the shade of trees, which will be more suitable for its growth.

3. Temperature

It grows best in a cool environment and is cold-resistant but afraid of high temperatures. The most suitable growth temperature for it in a year is 16-25℃. Some cooling treatment is needed during the high temperatures in summer, otherwise the leaves will easily wither. In winter, the temperature can be kept at around 4℃.

4. Watering

It is suitable for growing in a humid environment. Each time you water it, you must water it thoroughly and water it again when the soil is dry, but it is best not to allow water to accumulate. In summer, spring and autumn, it is generally sufficient to water the plants once every 2-3 days. In winter, the watering time can be appropriately extended to once every 5-7 days. The amount of watering also needs to be reduced to prevent damage to the plant's roots.

5. Fertilization

It likes fertilizer, which is usually applied in early to mid-May and mid to late September. You can apply some ammonium sulfate or some farmyard manure. After fertilizing, you can cover it with a layer of rotten leaves, which can retain fertilizer and water.
