1. Leaf DifferenceThe leaves of pitcher plants are very peculiar and come in many shapes. Some are tubular, some are trumpet-shaped, and some are pot-shaped. The pitcher-shaped leaves on the outside are arranged in a circle, just like a rosette. The inside of the pitcher plant has downward-growing hairs that are densely distributed, and there is a water-like liquid substance at the bottom. The leaves of Nepenthes are generally oblong, with the tail curled into the shape of a bottle. The bottle is very smooth, which makes it difficult for insects to stand and thus slide to the bottom of the bottle. 2. Flower DifferencesThe pitcher plant will bloom in spring, and a longer flower pavilion will grow out of it, with flowers blooming at the top and hanging down. Its flowers are relatively large and yellow-green or dark red in color. The flowers of Nepenthes are racemes, and a few are panicles. The flowers are relatively small and yellow-white in color. The smell is lighter during the day, but becomes stronger and more smelly at night. 3. Variety DifferenceThe former is a plant of the Sarracenia family and the Sarracenia genus, and is a variant variety that has been artificially cultivated. The latter is a plant of the Nepenthes family, Nepenthes genus. |
