When does Clivia bloom? How many years does it take to bloom?

1. When does Clivia bloom?

Clivia mainly blooms in spring from February to May. It is a plant that is relatively easy to bloom. If it is well maintained, it can bloom again within 1-2 months after the flowers fade, and can bloom up to three times a year. That is to say, it is possible to bloom from June to August and from September to November every year.

2. How many years does it take for Clivia to bloom?

For most Clivia, it takes about 2 years to bloom. If you take good care of it, it is possible for it to bloom within a year. But if you are growing seedlings from seeds, it will take longer for them to bloom. It usually takes 3-4 years for it to bloom.

3. How to grow Clivia to make it bloom

1. Temperature: If you want to grow it to bloom, it is recommended to keep it in a warm environment of about 25℃. At night, the temperature can be lowered appropriately to maintain a day and night temperature difference of 10-15℃. This will make it easier to bloom.

2. Sunlight: It is necessary to allow it to receive sufficient sunlight on a regular basis so that it can synthesize nutrients and promote flowering. But if the light is too strong, shade it in time to prevent it from being sunburned.

3. Watering: During maintenance, you need to water it once every 3-4 days to keep its soil slightly moist. It grows in an environment with sufficient water and is more likely to bloom.

4. Top dressing: It needs nutrients when it blooms. When it is close to flowering, you can apply some phosphorus and potassium fertilizers to it. This is also good for its flowering.
