What is the cause of lotus root rot?

1. Large amount of fertilizer

Reason: If too much fertilizer is applied, root rot will occur due to fertilizer damage.

Solution: Apply fertilizer in moderation, don’t apply too much. If it is in a yellow and thin state, apply fertilizer in time.

2. Pests and diseases

Reason: If the potting soil is not disinfected before planting, bacteria will easily appear, and the humid and hot environment will allow the bacteria to multiply in large numbers, resulting in root rot.

Solution: Spray the disease with pesticides in time and deal with it immediately once discovered to avoid endangering the normal growth of lotus.

3. Not changing water for a long time

Reason: If the water is not changed for a long time, the water quality will deteriorate and bacteria will easily be produced. Once bacteria appear, it will harm its roots and it will easily cause root rot.

Solution: Change the water frequently, but do not use tap water directly. You can expose the water to the sun for 4-5 days before using it. When root rot occurs, the rotten roots should be cut off in time and then disinfected.
