How to grow bitter buckwheat

How to grow bitter buckwheat

1. Soil:

Because buckwheat has a fragile root system, it is best planted in soil that is structurally intact, fertile, well-permeable, and has strong water storage capacity.

2. Lighting:

During the cultivation process of buckwheat, it needs to receive sufficient light. The intensity of light should not be too strong and must be controlled within 1000~3000lx, which is conducive to its growth.

3. Watering:

Buckwheat is a drought-resistant plant, so you can use spraying to water it less during the early stages of sowing. After the plant blooms, it needs to be watered frequently to maintain sufficient moisture so that the buckwheat can produce grains.

4. Temperature:

Temperature has a great influence on the growth of buckwheat. In the early stage of seedling growth, the temperature should be adjusted to around 25°C to promote growth; in the later stage, the temperature should be raised to around 30°C to improve the quality of buckwheat.

5. Notes:

Buckwheat has strong adaptability, but some common diseases and pests will still occur, such as damping-off, ring rot, downy mildew, etc. These diseases can be prevented and controlled in advance by mixing seeds with drugs. At the same time, pests such as beetles, borers or moths may also appear. In this case, you can use pesticides to spray them for prevention and control, or you can use trapping and killing technology to lure them away. This can ensure the growth and quality of buckwheat to the greatest extent.
