How to cultivate pearl flower

How to cultivate pearl flower

1. Soil

Potted plants require loose, fertile, sandy soil containing humus. You can also use perlite or coarse sand, honeycomb cinder mixed with humus as potting soil to ensure the permeability of the soil.

2. Temperature

It is cold-resistant but not heat-resistant. During the winter, the underground bulbs can withstand temperatures as low as minus 10 degrees Celsius and can spend the winter outdoors. However, it will stop growing when the temperature rises above 30 degrees in summer. It is recommended to grow it in an indoor temperature environment.

3. Watering

It requires a certain amount of moisture and a humid environment. Water as soon as the soil is dry. Do not water too much and let water accumulate in the soil, which will cause root rot. When watering the seedlings, be sure to choose a spraying method and don't just water them.

4. Lighting

It is a sun-loving plant and needs to be given plenty of sunlight when caring for it. Insufficient light will slow down its growth. When planting indoors, be sure to give it sufficient light, and it is best to grow it in a location such as a balcony.

5. Notes

1. Fertilization: Common organic fertilizer can be chosen. Fertilize frequently and apply small amounts at a time for best results.

2. Pests and diseases: The soil can be sterilized before planting, and Bordeaux mixture, thiophanate-methyl, thiophanate-methyl, etc. can be sprayed regularly during the growing season to prevent and control pests and diseases.
