How to grow Oxalis grandiflora

How to grow Oxalis grandiflora

1. Soil

When planting Oxalis, you should choose breathable, fertile and well-drained soil. The soil requirements are not high, and if conditions permit, you can choose some common planting soil.

2. Temperature

It is relatively cold-resistant and will not suffer from problems such as withering or frostbite as long as the temperature is not lower than 5℃. The daily temperature should be between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius. Try not to place it outdoors during the winter in the north.

3. Watering

When caring for Oxalis, do not water it too much. When growing it at home, water it only when the surface of the soil in the pot begins to dry out. Do not let the soil in the pot be too moist. Too much water can easily cause root rot.

4. Lighting

It likes sunlight very much, just be careful not to overexposure it to the summer sun. You can expose it to more sunlight at other times, which is beneficial to its growth. Prevent the problem of plants being weak and unable to reproduce.

5. Notes

1. Fertilization: It is best to fertilize it once every half a month during the growing period, which is beneficial to its growth and development. Applying some compound fertilizer to it before the flower buds grow will help prolong the flowering period.

2. Pest and disease control: It grows lushly, and the ventilation and light transmittance in the lower part are poor, which makes it easy for powdery mildew to occur, causing the leaves to turn yellow and rot. Spray fungicides and miticides in time to prevent the occurrence of diseases and pests.
