1. What is wheat

Wheat is a general term for wheat plants. It is an annual herb with a wide distribution. It is one of the three major grains and has a very long cultivation history. Almost the entire wheat plant can be eaten. It is rich in starch, protein, fat, minerals, calcium, iron, thiamine, etc., and has high nutritional value. It generally grows in an environment with deep soil layers and has certain requirements for moisture and nutrients in the soil. It is a long-day crop and needs eight to twelve hours of sunlight every day.

2. What is the difference between rice and rice?

Plant differences: Wheat stems are upright, clumped, with six to seven nodes, sixty to one hundred centimeters in height, and five to seven millimeters in diameter. The sheath of its leaves is loosely wrapped around the stem, the ligule is membranous, about one millimeter long, and the leaf blade is long lanceolate. The stems of rice are also upright, but are about thirty to one hundred centimeters in height, and the leaves are arranged in two rows, alternately, and are linear-lanceolate in shape.

Flower difference: The inflorescence of wheat is upright in spike shape, about five to ten centimeters long and about one to one and a half centimeters wide. The spikelet contains three to nine flowers. The panicle of rice is a loose cone-shaped inflorescence. Its spikelets are oblong, flattened on both sides, and contain three small flowers.

Fruit difference: The fruit of wheat is a caryopsis, the skin is yellow-brown, the shape is oblate or oval, the two ends of the fruit are slightly pointed or blunt, and there are starch granules inside. The fruit powder is white, interspersed with small pieces of yellow-brown peel. The fruit of rice is a caryopsis, the lemma of which is boat-shaped and has short awns.
