1. What is the red spider lily?

Red spider lily is a perennial herb belonging to the genus Amaryllis of the Amaryllidaceae family. Its Chinese name is "Red Lycoris radiata". It is native to my country and is currently distributed in various Southeast Asian countries. Its leaves are relatively slender, green in color, and slightly whitish in the middle. The length of the blade is about 30cm and the width is about 15cm. Its flower shape is quite peculiar, with slender and split petals that bend inward, resembling dragon claws. So it is also often called "dragon claw flower".

Red spider lily likes to grow in a semi-shaded, warm and humid environment. It cannot grow in a place without light for a long time, nor can it grow in a place with a long-term lack of water. It is not picky about the soil and can grow normally in most flower soils. Therefore, it often grows on hillsides, woodlands, roadsides, gardens, etc.

3. Can red spider lilies be kept at home?

It can be kept at home. Because it is not picky about the environment, it is easy to keep at home. As long as it is provided with the right amount of light and water, it will grow well. However, it is poisonous, so be careful not to eat it by mistake when breeding it. If there are small children in the house, it is not recommended to keep it at home.
