What to do if the rubber tree seedlings are not growing? How to promote the growth of rubber tree seedlings

1. Change the soil in time

Reason: The failure of rubber tree seedlings to grow may be due to problems with the potting soil. If the soil in the pot becomes compacted, there is water accumulation in the pot, or the nutrient content in the soil is insufficient, the plant will grow slowly and become stunted.

Solution: At this time, the potting soil needs to be replaced in time. Dig out the roots of the plant, trim off the rotten or old roots, disinfect it, then change the soil and replant it. It is best to replace it with a loose soil mixed with leaf mold and river sand. After planting, water the plant thoroughly and add some rooting solution to help it quickly grow new roots and resume growth.

2. Apply fertilizer in time

Cause: Long-term lack of nutrients leads to malnutrition of the plants and may also cause seedling stunting.

Solution: Nutrients need to be replenished in time, and the frequency and amount of fertilization should be increased. Rubber trees are mainly foliage plants. If you want the leaves to grow more and the branches to grow thicker, you can choose a fertilizer that is mainly nitrogen and supplemented by other elements. Make sure to apply fertilizer about 2-3 times a month.

3. Adequate lighting

Reason: Insufficient light will hinder photosynthesis, root growth will be underdeveloped, and seedlings will become stunted.

Solution: Place it in a well-lit area to receive sufficient light. The rubber tree is a very light-loving plant and is very resistant to sunlight. Keep it in a sunny place where it can receive full sun all year round. If there is sufficient sunlight and photosynthesis proceeds well, its root system will grow well and its ability to absorb nutrients will be enhanced, allowing it to thrive.
