How to grow Bauhinia on the balcony and what should be paid attention to

1. Lighting requirements

If the Bauhinia is grown in a potted plant at home, it can be placed on the balcony. This not only provides enough space to ensure its free growth, but also provides light to maintain its growth needs. It loves sunlight very much. Placing it on a balcony with bright and sufficient light can promote its healthy growth, make the plant vigorous, and ensure that the flowers bloom. Please note that although it likes light, it cannot be placed directly on the balcony in the hot summer. The flowers will be burned by direct strong sunlight and need to be shielded.

2. Replenish water

A humid growing environment is very suitable for growth. Water it thoroughly immediately after planting it in the pot. After the growth stabilizes, adjust the frequency of watering according to weather conditions to keep the soil in the pot moist, but do not allow water to accumulate.

3. Fertilizer supplement

It likes fertilizer very much, and sufficient base fertilizer needs to be applied when planting, mainly organic fertilizer. In the later stage of growth, fertilizer should be applied according to the growth trend, but concentrated fertilizer should not be applied. Applying phosphorus and potassium fertilizers before and after the flowering period can increase the number of flowers and make the colors brighter.

4. Regular pruning

The space on the balcony is limited, and the growth germination of Bauhinia is strong, so it needs proper pruning, short cutting and thinning during the seedling period, and cutting off excess branches.
