Raspberry cultivation methods and precautions

Raspberry cultivation methods and precautions

1. Maintenance methods

1. Soil: Raspberry has strong reproductive ability and adaptability, and is suitable for growing on hills or sandy slopes. Although it has strong adaptability, slightly acidic soil that is fertile, has strong water and fertilizer retention capacity and good drainage is better.

2. Temperature: The average temperature during the breeding period should be maintained at around 15-20℃. The environmental requirements are relatively low, so small changes will have no effect.

3. Light: It likes a cool climate and avoids heat. It prefers some scattered light and can generally be planted in mountainous and hilly areas. However, in summer, you should still take some protective measures to avoid direct sunlight burning the leaves.

4. Water: The flowering period of raspberries is generally in May and June, and the fruiting period is generally in August and September. When the plants are flowering and bearing fruit, it is necessary to ensure that they have sufficient water to avoid poor flowering and few fruits due to drought.

2. Breeding techniques

1. Cuttings: Cut a branch before budding in spring, and cut the branch into 15 to 20 centimeters as cuttings. Insert the plants into the seedbed with a row spacing of ten centimeters by five centimeters, cover with film to keep warm and retain moisture, and the seedlings can be planted when they are fifty centimeters tall.

2. Division: In February or March, dig out the plant seedlings grown from root suckers, and after proper pruning, divide and transplant them or plant them in the field.

3. Problem diagnosis and treatment

1. Disease: Powdery mildew is a relatively common disease. The diseased leaves should be pruned in time to remove the pathogens. Before germination or flowering, spraying 200 to 300 times diluted 50% sulfur suspension can have a preventive effect.

2. Pests: Borer beetles are common pests. Artificial treatment can be used when there are few insects. When the adults begin to harm flowers and fruits, shake the fruiting branches to make them fall into appropriate containers for centralized destruction.

IV. Other issues

1. Is it edible? Raspberry is a deciduous shrub. Its fruit is a commonly eaten fruit. The fruit is sweet and sour and very delicious. Many people in the Northeast of my country eat it.

2. How long is the flowering period: The flowering period of raspberries is generally in May and June. During the flowering period, attention should be paid to pest control and watering to ensure the quality and yield of the fruit.
