Coral fern cultivation methods and precautions

Coral fern cultivation methods and precautions

1. Maintenance methods

1. Soil: Loose and breathable peat soil is suitable for the growth of coral ferns. It can be planted in small pots, which are not only small but also beautiful in appearance.

2. Water: It likes moist soil, so water it frequently to keep the soil moist and fresh. Especially in summer, you should water it more so that it can absorb sufficient water.

3. Nutrients: Fertilizer is required after planting. Generally, organic fertilizer can be used, and the process takes about fifteen days. Dissolve the organic fertilizer in water and then water it in. Be careful not to use too much, as too much fertilizer can easily cause the plant to have too much nutrients and stop growing.

4. Light: Coral ferns are suitable for a cool environment, and diffuse light is best, but in the summer, you must pay attention to shade, as too strong light can cause sunburn.

2. Breeding techniques

1. Pruning: When new branches and leaves grow on the stems and leaves, avoid the branches being blocked due to the dense branches and leaves. Prune the old stems and leaves in time to allow them to grow better.

2. Reproduction: Coral ferns are generally propagated by cuttings. Select strong branches and insert them into nutrient-rich soil. Then sprinkle water to keep it moist. In about a week, you will see small branches growing out of the cuttings.

3. Problem diagnosis and treatment

1. Weak growth: Coral ferns grow slowly and are relatively weak. At this time, we need to consider whether they are not absorbing enough nutrients. At this time, you should replace it with a larger flowerpot and add more soil so that its roots can take root better, so that it will grow strong again.

2. Root rot: When spraying or watering the plant, be careful not to let water accumulate at the roots. Stagnant water will cause rot of the leaves and roots, so they should be sprayed and watered appropriately, and should not be too wet.

IV. Other issues

1. How to spend the winter: Move it indoors in winter. The temperature should not be lower than ten degrees Celsius. When it is too dry, just spray some water on the leaves.

2. Can it be placed indoors: Yes, but it is not suitable for places with strong light. It is suitable for placing on computer desks or tea tables. The green color will make people happy.
