Cultivation methods and precautions of Tia

1. Maintenance methods

1. Substrate selection: It has strong adaptability to soil, and it is best to choose loose, well-drained and breathable fertile soil. You can mix coal slag, peat and granular river sand to make the soil, and add an appropriate amount of bone meal to the soil as base fertilizer.

2. Light management: It likes an environment with sufficient sunlight and other conditions, but it still needs to avoid exposure to strong sunlight. In the summer when the temperature is high, it should be properly shaded. In the winter, it can be placed in a well-lit place indoors. If there is insufficient light, the leaves of the plant will tend to grow too long, become loose and thin, resulting in the flower shape being loose and affecting the appearance.

3. Water management: When watering it, be careful to avoid the center of the leaves. It is in the growing season in spring, autumn and early summer and needs sufficient water supply. When the soil in the pot is dry, water it thoroughly to avoid excessive dryness that causes old leaves to wither. If the temperature is low in winter, you should control watering to allow it to gradually enter a low-temperature dormant state, which is conducive to its safe wintering.

4. Temperature management: It grows well in an environment of 15℃-25℃. It likes warmth but is also quite cold-resistant. When the soil in the pot is dry in winter, it can withstand indoor temperatures as low as -3℃, but the overwintering temperature cannot be lower than 5℃. It is also not advisable to place the plant outdoors, as this may cause it to frostbite and die.

2. Breeding techniques

1. Reproduction method: Its reproduction methods include beheading, budding, leaf cuttings, etc. Among them, leaf cuttings are more common and the survival rate is slightly higher than other methods. Leaf cutting method: Take the leaves with better growth of the plant, transplant them into the soil with an appropriate amount of bone meal added as base fertilizer, and wait for them to take root and survive.

2. Pruning method: When it blooms, if there are too many flower stems, it will consume a lot of nutrients of the plant, affecting the growth and beauty of the plant. Pay attention to pruning the more vigorously growing flower stems in time.

3. Problem diagnosis and treatment

1. Frostbite: It is relatively cold-resistant, but if placed outdoors in winter, it is still prone to frostbite or even death. When the temperature is low in winter, watering should be controlled and the soil in the pot should be kept dry to effectively prevent frostbite of the plant.

2. Disease: It is not prone to disease. Just pay attention to the prevention and control of aphids when it blooms.

IV. Other issues

1. Placement: Under sufficient light conditions, the edges of the leaves and even the entire leaf will appear bright red, which can be described as flowing like fire. The flowers are white and bell-shaped, fresh and elegant, with high ornamental value. It can be planted in balconies, windowsills and other places with sufficient light.

2. Flower language: Its flower language is "thank you".
