What to do if potted roses wilt

What to do if potted roses wilt

1. Watering in time

Reason: Roses have a high demand for water and need to be kept moist for a long time. Dryness can easily cause them to wither.

Solution: Water the potted plants in time. Generally, you should water it when the soil in the pot is slightly dry. Long-term dryness will be detrimental to its growth, and in severe cases may even lead to the death of the entire plant.

2. Increase the temperature

Reason: Roses themselves have good cold resistance, but large temperature differences between day and night can also lead to unfavorable growth and cause the plants to wilt.

Solution: If the temperature difference between day and night is large, it is recommended to grow roses indoors to avoid sudden changes in temperature. Or you can put bags on the plants and take some warming measures.

3. Increase Lighting

Reason: Roses themselves need sufficient light, and lack of light will naturally make them wilt.

Solution: Place the potted plants in a sunny place with at least 4 hours of sunlight per day. However, you should avoid strong sunlight at noon and provide appropriate shade to avoid the heat.

4. Supplemental fertilizer

Reason: Lack of fertilizer in roses will lead to poor growth of the plants and cause them to wilt.

Solution: Generally, watering with dilute alum fertilizer water can not only provide nutrients, but also improve the pH of the soil. In addition, you can apply organic fertilizer mainly composed of phosphorus and potassium, which is very helpful for flowering.
