How to breed Jihong Komatsu

How to breed Jihong Komatsu

1. Maintenance methods

1. Temperature: A warm environment is more suitable for it. Generally speaking, the temperature between 15 and 28 degrees is more suitable. In summer, try not to let it stay in a relatively hot and stuffy environment and increase ventilation. In the cold winter, try to keep the temperature above ten degrees.

2. Light: It likes sunlight. Astigmatism is more suitable for it because it is also afraid of very strong light. Generally speaking, if you are indoors, just place it in the place with the best light. If you are growing it outdoors, you need to be careful to block very strong light to prevent its leaves from being burned.

3. Watering: Since the roots of the red pine are fleshy, do not water it too much, otherwise its roots will easily rot. Generally speaking, keeping it semi-wet is the most appropriate. In spring and autumn, it can be done once every three or four days, twice a day in summer, and once a week to ten days in winter. Don't water at noon.

4. Fertilization: It can only be used from spring to autumn. Generally, it is used once a week to ten days. You can use decomposed fertilizer, but the concentration should not be too high.

2. Breeding techniques

1. Reproduction: Mostly propagated by cuttings. Choose branches that are between two and three centimeters in length and cut them off as materials. Then choose perlite as the substrate for cuttings. Then insert it and place it in a bottle with water. Keep the temperature suitable for its growth and provide a certain amount of scattered light, and it will take root in about a week.

2. Pruning: It grows very vigorously, so it needs to be pruned regularly. Generally speaking, branches that are too long need to be pruned. For branches and leaves that are too dense and affect light transmission, you can cut off some of them. If it is used as a potted plant for viewing at home, the shape needs to be repaired.

3. Problem diagnosis and treatment

1. Diseases: mainly some diseases that mainly harm leaves, such as "leaf spot" and "powdery mildew". It is more likely to occur in hot and humid conditions and can be prevented and controlled by spraying pesticides in time.

2. Pests: The most common ones are "red spiders" and the like. In addition to eliminating the adult insects, it is best to disinfect the soil and eliminate all the insect eggs in it.

IV. Other issues

1. Toxicity: It is also a kind of succulent, but it is not poisonous.

2. Can it be raised at home: It is very suitable. It is relatively small and highly ornamental, making it suitable as a decoration.
