Lily pictures (introduction to morphological characteristics and maintenance methods)

1. Morphological characteristics

1. Roots: There are fleshy roots and fibrous roots. The fleshy roots are embedded in the soil and have a strong ability to absorb water. Fibrous roots begin to grow from the stem, usually appearing during the growing season, and will die at the same time as the stem.

2. Stem: The stem is erect, hairless, green with purple spots. The lower part of the stem node will grow into bulblets, which can be used for reproduction.

3. Leaves: There are many leaves, up to 100, and their shapes generally range from lanceolate to elliptical-lanceolate.

4. Flowers: Usually bloom in July. The flowers are large, mostly white in color, funnel-shaped, and grow at the top of the stem.

2. Maintenance methods

1. Temperature: The temperature of the lily's growing environment should not be too high, otherwise it will lead to poor growth. In hot weather, you can spray water on the leaves to cool down.

2. Watering: Since the bulbs are not tolerant to moisture, do not water too much and do not let the soil be too moist. Otherwise it will cause it to rot and the plant will die.

3. Fertilization: During the growing period of lilies, you can apply appropriate amounts of fertilizer to promote their growth and flowering. But do not apply fertilizer during the flowering period, and do not sprinkle fertilizer on the leaves, as this will cause leaf burns.
