Is the lucky tree easy to grow?

Is the lucky tree easy to grow?

1. Is it easy to raise?

The lucky tree is a tropical plant that prefers a hot and humid climate and has poor resistance to cold and dry environments. Therefore, it is easier to raise in the humid areas of the south. Although it is somewhat difficult to raise in the north, as long as you pay attention to keeping warm in winter, you can also grow it very lush.

2. How to maintain

1. Temperature: The lucky tree has high requirements for temperature and is suitable for cultivation in a greenhouse at 20℃ to 30℃. When the temperature is higher than 30℃, provide shade and spray water to cool down. If the temperature drops below 10℃, move it indoors, and try not to let it drop below 8℃. Although it has a certain degree of cold resistance in the short term, do not place it in a low temperature environment.

2. Light: The lucky tree can be placed in full sunlight or in a semi-shaded environment. However, if there is no light for a long time, the plant will only grow but not become thicker. It is recommended to place it in a sunny place with at least 5 hours of light per day.

3. Soil: Generally choose to plant in loose, fertile acidic soil. Therefore, a little river sand can be added to the potting soil, and peat wood can also be used to increase the acidity, but the proportion of peat wood should not be too much because it will hinder drainage.

4. Watering: The lucky tree likes moisture, so water it frequently. Generally, you need to water the plant once every two days. It is best to water it every day in summer, but you should control the water appropriately in spring to prevent the plant from growing too tall. Also reduce watering in winter to avoid frostbite on the roots of the plants.

5. Fertilization: The amount of fertilizer for the lucky tree should be adjusted according to the season. During the peak growth period, apply liquid fertilizer once a month and spray it on the surface of the potting soil after dilution. Be careful not to spray it on the leaves, otherwise it will cause rot. In addition, you can apply phosphorus and potassium fertilizers once in mid-autumn to help the plants survive the winter safely.
