Purslane has great "uses". Plant one in a flowerpot and it's great for viewing and eating!

Since Purslane grows naturally in the wild, it has very strong vitality and can almost survive as soon as it is planted. And because it has a significant improvement effect on human health, it is also called the "King of Medicine". Planting one of it in a flowerpot is quite ornamental, and you can just pick a few when you want to eat it. It is convenient and practical!

How to plant purslane:

1. Pick some purslane from outside, remember to pick it with the roots so that it will be easier to plant later.

2. Prepare some loose and breathable soil, preferably slightly acidic, so that the growth effect will be better.

3. Then you can plant the purslane sprouts with roots into the soil. Remember to press the soil firmly when planting.

4. After planting, water it thoroughly and wait for it to grow and germinate.

When Purslane grows vigorously, its ornamental value is not inferior to some potted plants. The key is that it can clear away heat and internal heat, and darken hair after being eaten. However, if you want Purslane to grow vigorously, you must pay attention to its daily maintenance.

Light: Purslane itself is a particularly light-loving plant. Most potted plants need shade measures in the summer, but Purslane does not need it at all. Even direct sunlight will not affect its growth. Generally speaking, the more sunlight it gets, the more luxuriant its branches and leaves will be, and it will fill the pot in just a few days!

Watering: I don’t know if you have noticed that the branches and leaves of Purslane are fleshy, so they play a good role in water storage. This indirectly shows that we don’t need to water it a lot on a normal basis. Just keep it dry and wet. In summer, because of the dormant period, water needs to be controlled; in winter, because of the low temperature, just keep the soil in the pot dry.

Fertilization: We also need to fertilize Purslane during its vigorous growth period. Just choose a thin layer of nitrogen fertilizer. After adding sufficient fertilizer, the leaves of Purslane will become greener.

Pruning: Pruning is very important for a plant. In order to ensure the growth and beauty of Purslane, we can choose to prune it regularly.

Planting purslane in a flowerpot is not tacky and is more attractive. Why don’t you try it?
