How to plant the roots of Flammulina velutipes

1. Root cutting

We first buy the enoki mushrooms. When buying them, we should buy fresh ones with intact roots. It is best to buy some sand. After buying them, we cut them off from the roots. When cutting, pay attention to the cutting length. Just cut off the harder and darker part of the root. If they grow closely together, you need to cut more.

2. Preparation of culture medium

Prepare a container. The height of the container must be appropriate, not too high. Add two or three spoons of baking soda into the container, and then add water. The amount of water should be enough to cover about half of the root height. Stir the baking soda evenly.

3. Planting

Place a few sheets of paper towels in the container, put the roots in, then seal the container with plastic wrap and place it in a cool place. Soon new enoki mushrooms will grow from it.
