There is a lot of water in the pitcher plant cage. Is this abnormal?

1. Is it normal?

Under normal circumstances, it is abnormal for a pitcher plant to have too much water in its cage. Generally, one-third of the cage should be filled with water, which is best. It is also best not to pour water into the cage. The cage secretes mucus, which will drown the insects and decompose and digest them. If there is no water in the cage, it is best not to add it yourself. Of course, it does not mean that you cannot add it, because if the water used is not clean, the pitcher plant cage may rot.

2. Maintenance methods

1. Humidity: If you want its cage to grow normally, you must ensure the humidity of the breeding environment. The maintenance environment cannot be too dry. You should pay attention to spraying more water and keep the humidity above 75% as much as possible.

2. Temperature: The breeding temperature should not be too low, especially in winter. If the temperature is too low, it will affect the growth of the cage. The minimum temperature should not be lower than 15℃, and it must be kept indoors during the winter.
