What to do if the leaves of the fortune tree turn yellow

What to do if the leaves of the fortune tree turn yellow

1. Adjust watering

The yellowing of the leaves of the money tree may be due to improper watering. Too little watering will lead to drought and water shortage, causing the leaves to turn yellow. Too much watering will cause water accumulation and root rot, resulting in yellow leaves. When watering is too little, water should be added gradually to encourage the soil to absorb water. When watering is too much, you should ventilate in time and loosen the soil appropriately to allow water to seep out.

2. Reasonable exposure to light

Improper light exposure of the money tree can also cause the leaves to turn yellow. The money tree likes sunlight. If it is kept in a shaded environment for a long time and does not receive sufficient light, its leaves will wither and turn yellow. If it is exposed to the scorching sun, its leaves will also wither and turn yellow. If the money tree lacks light, you can gradually move it to a brightly lit location. Exposure to sunlight can promote growth and make the leaves look beautiful green. If the money tree is exposed to strong sunlight, move it to a cool and ventilated place and take shade measures.

3. Maintain temperature

The suitable temperature for the growth of Money Tree is 20-30℃. If the temperature is too low, it will cause yellowing and falling leaves. If the temperature is too high, the transpiration of the leaves will be too strong, and the leaves will gradually dry up and turn yellow. If the temperature is low, the money tree should be moved to a warm room and the temperature should be kept above 10℃. If the temperature is too high, ventilation can be increased to lower the temperature.

4. Prevention and control of pests and diseases

If the money tree is infected with diseases or pests, its leaves will turn yellow and fall off. Remove the diseased and pest-infected leaves, increase ventilation, and spray pesticides in time.
