What causes cucumber to turn into melon?

1. Improper water and fertilizer

If these two factors are difficult to provide and the accumulated nutrients are less, the cucumbers will rot. They need to be added in time during the growth process to ensure normal growth.

2. High temperature

If the daytime temperature is high, exceeding 32°C, the photosynthesis process will be hindered, making it difficult to synthesize more nutrients. In addition, increased respiration makes it more difficult to accumulate and replenish nutrients, resulting in malnutrition and melon rot. If it is in the rapid growth stage, as long as the temperature exceeds 20℃, the melon vines will become obviously too tall and the melon rot phenomenon will also be very obvious.

3. Continuous cloudy days

In the early spring, if it is cloudy for a long period of time, cucumbers will have difficulty in getting access to sunlight to synthesize nutrients, and the absorption capacity of the roots will also be limited, causing adverse effects on the cucumber body and leading to cucumber rot.

4. Over-dense planting

If the plants are planted too densely, the roots will be close to each other and will compete for nutrients in the soil. The stems and leaves above the ground will also compete for space. The light transmittance becomes very poor, making it difficult to synthesize nutrients normally, and the degree of melon rot will be very obvious.
