1. Leaf DifferenceThe leaves of the Aloe Vera are fleshy and green in color. They are arranged alternately when they are seedlings, and become alternate in a whorl when they are adults. The leaves are lanceolate, thick and fleshy, with light yellow serrated fleshy thorns on the leaf edges, and light yellow fleshy protrusions scattered on the leaf surface and back. Cape aloe usually has 30 to 40 leaves, clustered at the top of the stem, 2 meters long and 30 centimeters wide, with sharp thorns on the edges and backs of the leaves. The leaves are dark green or blue-green in color and covered with white powder. 2. Flower DifferencesThe small flowers of the Aloe Vera are tubular in shape and orange-red in color. They usually bloom in late winter or early spring. Cape aloe has a panicle inflorescence that is about 1 meter long. The perianth has 6 tubular petals and is light red or yellow-green in color. |
