The difference between the Dripping Guanyin and the Thousand-Handed Guanyin, which one is poisonous

The difference between the Dripping Guanyin and the Thousand-Handed Guanyin, which one is poisonous

1. The difference between the two

1. Difference in appearance: In appearance, the weeping angel looks more like taro, with round leaves and no palm-shaped cracks. The leaves of Thousand-Armed Avalokitesvara are palm-shaped and more oval. The taller and more upright one of the two is the Thousand-Armed Guanyin, which is more ornamental and more expensive.

2. Difference in growth environment: Although both are tropical rainforest plants, there are differences in their growth environment. The suitable growth temperature for the weeping angel is between 20-30 degrees, and it can tolerate a low temperature of 8 degrees. The Thousand-Armed Guanyin can withstand temperatures as low as 10 degrees Celsius, and its cold resistance is even worse.

3. Distribution difference: The dripping angel is mainly distributed in the western and central parts of Yunnan Province in my country, and is also distributed in Sichuan, Hunan, Guizhou and other places. Overseas, they are in India, Vietnam and other places. The Thousand-Armed Guanyin is more common in Thailand and Bangladesh, and is mainly distributed in valley wetlands below 2,000 meters.

2. Which one is poisonous?

Both belong to the Araceae family and are poisonous. The toxin is mainly in the juice. The white juice is highly toxic. Try not to have direct contact with your skin or eat it, otherwise it will cause discomfort. When maintaining and placing it, be careful not to place it where children or pets can reach it to avoid any harm. In addition, it is best to wear gloves during daily management to avoid contact with the juice.
