The symptoms of succulents not adapting to the pot

The symptoms of succulents not adapting to the pot

1. Leaves become soft

Under normal acclimatization conditions, the leaves will become harder and harder, and begin to become full and thick, showing a good growth trend. However, if the succulent plant is not acclimatized, its leaves will become soft, wrinkled, lifeless, and in poor spirits.

2. The plant will shake

Gently shake the succulent plant with your hand. If it feels the same as when it was first planted and you can't feel any resistance, then it proves that it has not adapted to the pot and the roots underneath have not grown well and taken root. You can feel the difference and feel some resistance, which proves that it has started to adapt to the pot.

3. No new leaves grow

After waiting for a while, the succulent plant does not seem to have recovered to its previous appearance, and no new small leaves have grown at the top. The old leaves are still the same as before, but they are just gradually becoming softer and have not become dry due to growth consumption. This is also one of the manifestations of not acclimatizing to the pot, indicating that the plant has not yet started to really grow.

4. The leaves below begin to melt

As time went by, the leaves at the bottom not only failed to grow well, but began to melt water. This is not just a sign that the plant has not adapted to the pot, but there may be a problem with its roots.
