What is the best season for planting strawberries?

Strawberries are rich in vitamins, minerals, some trace elements, and have high medicinal value. It is generally recommended to grow strawberries in a place with good light, as they also have relatively high requirements for water.

Strawberry planting and seedling raising are mostly carried out at the beginning of spring , but it can also be carried out in July or August of the same year when seeds are collected, because strawberries are suitable for growing in an environment with moderate temperatures, and the warming temperature in spring is more suitable for maintenance.

Greenhouse strawberries can be planted around September to October and can be harvested in December of the same year. The harvest can start from January to March of the second year at the latest and can continue until May.

The whole process of strawberry planting

Step 1 : Before planting strawberries, raise seedlings first. Wrap the seeds in gauze, soak them in water for a day, and then store the seeds in the refrigerator at a low temperature for about 15 days to break the dormancy of the seeds.

Step 2 : Before sowing the seeds, break up the soil and expose it to the sun for three days to disinfect it. Then mix it with organic fertilizer and stir it evenly. You can also disinfect it directly with soil disinfectant.

Step 3 : First water the soil and wait for the soil to absorb the fertilizer. After an hour, sprinkle the strawberry seeds on it. Try to spread them evenly because the strawberry seeds are very small and piling them together will reduce the germination rate.

Step 4 : Then sprinkle some fine soil. The soil does not need to be too thick, just enough to cover the strawberry seeds. Use a spray bottle to wet the seeds. Do not water them to prevent the strawberry seeds from being washed away.
