Cultivation methods and precautions of Jingye

1. Soil

The soil requirements for the nightshade plant are air permeability and water dispersion, because it is very afraid of stagnant water and moisture. The cultivation soil must be loose and breathable enough, and sandy soil can be used for cultivation. For home farming, you can mix granular soil and nutrient soil to prepare the soil, which will have better air permeability.

2. Lighting

It needs sufficient sunlight during its growth period, at least 5 hours of sunlight a day, which can help it grow better. It can be exposed to more sunlight in spring, autumn and winter, but in summer it should be moved to semi-shade at noon. Avoid growing it in a too dark place as the plant will tend to grow too tall.

3. Water

During the period of vigorous growth of the plant, it should be watered thoroughly when it is dry, because it requires relatively more water at this time and the soil should be kept moist. Do not leave water for a long time, as a too dry environment will cause the plant to wither and die. During the high temperatures of midsummer, the activity of its root system will decrease, so water control needs to be appropriate at this time.

IV. Precautions

When the sun is strong and the temperature is high in summer, you should pay attention to shade and sun protection. When watering, do not pour water on the leaves of the plant, especially when the air is humid. If there is stagnant water or it is too humid, not only will there be bacteria, but the plant will also easily rot.
