Cultivation methods and precautions of dragon beard tree

Cultivation methods and precautions of dragon beard tree

1. Lighting

The dragon beard tree likes warmth. If you grow it at home, in order to ensure that its leaves do not fade, it is best to place it on a south-facing balcony or windowsill where it can receive plenty of sunlight. If it is placed on the balcony, you need to provide shade for it if the sun is strong in the summer to avoid sunburn.

2. Water

Its watering is relatively simple, water it every 3-5 days to ensure that the soil in the pot is slightly moist. If it is in the summer when the temperature is relatively high, you need to spray water on its leaves every morning and evening to ensure the gloss of the leaves. In winter, you need to control watering. Generally, it only needs to be watered once every ten days to half a month when it spends the winter indoors. Keeping the soil in the pot slightly moist and not too dry can ensure that it spends the winter safely.

3. Temperature

The most suitable growing environment is 20-28℃. Generally, when the temperature exceeds 32℃ in summer and is below 15℃ in winter, it will temporarily stop growing, which will affect its growth. When it spends the winter indoors, you can control the temperature at 10-20℃ to ensure that it can spend the winter safely.

IV. Precautions

When it is wintering, don't just pursue keeping it warm, but also let it receive appropriate light. The dragon beard tree is afraid of frost, so it should be moved indoors in late October to prevent frost.
