How to grow primrose

How to grow primrose

1. Breeding methods

1. Soil: To grow it, you need to use neutral or slightly acidic soil with a relatively high humus content and good air permeability. Do not use heavy loam with poor air permeability.

2. Sunlight: It needs plenty of sunlight, so you can expose it to the sun more often, but avoid direct sunlight.

3. Temperature: Primrose is sensitive to temperature and prefers a cool environment. About 10 degrees is a good temperature environment for the normal growth of primrose. It will stop growing below zero and will go dormant above 30 degrees.

4. Water: Primrose has relatively high requirements for water supply. Generally speaking, during the maintenance process, we need to keep the soil in the pot moist as long as there is no water accumulation.

5. Fertilization: Because it has a great demand for water, it also requires a large amount of fertilizer. During the maintenance process, we can apply a thin, comprehensive, whole-vegetarian fertilizer water to it once a week to meet its needs.

2. Prune the remaining flowers

After it blooms, there are usually a small number of withered flowers remaining on the branches. Not only are they unsightly and affect the ornamental value of the plant, they also consume the nutrients of the plant. So they need to be cut off to promote root growth and make it grow better.

3. Pest and disease control

1. Symptoms of leaf spot disease: small yellow-brown spots on the leaves with yellow halos around them.

Method: In the early stage of the disease, you can spray 1000 times diluted 53.8% Kesaid suspension.

2. Symptoms of mealybug: The adults rush to suck the juice from stems and leaves.

Method: When there are few insects, you can remove them manually; when there are many, you need to spray insecticide.
