The leaves of Schefflera are palmately compound with 5 to 8 leaflets. The leaves are long oval in shape, dark green in color and have a shiny surface.

The leaves of the money tree are also palmately compound leaves with 5 to 11 leaflets. The petioles of the leaflets are very short or nearly sessile and are oblong in shape.

2. Flower differences

The flowers of Schefflera are in paniculate inflorescences, white in color, with 5 to 6 petals.

The flowers of the money tree are usually solitary in the leaf axils at the top of the branches, with light yellow-green petals that are narrow lanceolate.
