2. Morphological characteristics

The fleshy roots of lily are called sub-roots, which can be as many as dozens. Most of them are distributed in the soil 45 to 50 centimeters deep. It has a strong ability to absorb water and will not die even after a year. Its fibrous roots are called supra-roots, which are shaped like fibers. There can be as many as 180 of them distributed in the surface of the soil, which play a role in fixing and supporting the above-ground stems. Its stem is upright and cylindrical, often with purple spots. The bulbils and seed balls can be used for reproduction. Its flowers are white, funnel-shaped, and usually solitary in the leaf axils.
