She can grow a pot of precious Clivia with just a few seeds! Stop spending money on it.

Procedure

Step 1

Choose plump seeds with brown or red skin. They should feel firm when squeezed and make a sound like the pods are bursting.

Step 2

Peel open the seed pods and take out the seeds one by one. They look a bit like garlic cloves, plump and cute.

Step 3

Before preparing to sow, you should place the Clivia seeds in water at about 40℃ and soak them for a day. After soaking, take them out and place them in a well-lit and ventilated place to dry.

Step 4

Spray the sand or finer sawdust or pine needles with water, then place the soaked seeds on the sand or sawdust with the pointed end facing downwards, and keep the temperature above 20-26 degrees.

Step 5

The sown Clivia should be placed in a warm and shady place and sprayed with water every day to keep it moist. It will sprout in about 20 days.

Step 6

When the seeds grow a complete leaf, you can transplant them into pots one by one.

Step 7

After a period of careful cultivation, a Clivia seed can grow into a large pot.

Sowing is a common method used by many businesses to cultivate noble Clivia. If the Clivia in your home blooms this year, you might as well let it produce seeds and use them to propagate small Clivia!
