The difference between Cymbidium and Cymbidium

1. Difference of blades

The leaves of Cymbidium orchid are arranged in two rows and are long lanceolate in shape. Their length and width vary greatly among different varieties. The color will also change due to the light, from yellow-green to dark green. The leaves of Mo Lan are nearly leathery, dark green in color, and will not change color due to light.

2. The difference between flowers

Cymbidium has 6 tepals, the outer 3 are sepals, petal-shaped, and the inner petals are specialized into lip. The flower colors are rich and varied, including white, yellow, green, purple, etc. The color of the flowers of Mo Lan varies greatly, usually dark purple or purple-brown with a light-colored lip, the leaves are yellow-green, pink or white, the sepals are narrowly oblong or narrowly elliptical, and the petals are nearly narrowly ovate. When the flowers of the two are put together, the latter is obviously more narrow and long.
