How to identify chrysanthemum notoginseng

1. Flower identification

The flowers of Panax notoginseng are in umbels, with 20 to 30 flowers distributed on the inflorescence, growing from the top or from the axils, and each umbel is clustered with 3 to 5 capitulum. The flower is orange-yellow in color, and the tube connecting the corolla is relatively thin, about 8 to 10 mm long, with an expanding upper part and densely covered with white hairs.

2. Leaf identification

The leaves are ovate, ovate-oblong or elliptical, and look relatively round. They are about 3 to 8 cm long and 1.5 to 3.5 cm wide. There are wavy serrations on the edges, and 5 to 7 pairs of lateral veins. The upper side is green and the lower side is purple. There is no hair on both sides, or there are sparse soft hairs.
