The difference between Lucong and Bana

1. Leaf Difference

The leaves of the deer onion are ribbon-shaped, blunt at the tip, green in color, about 8 cm long and 2 cm wide. The leaves only grow in autumn and wither immediately after growing, and then grow again in early spring of the following year.

The leaves of the red spider lily are clustered, slender and pointed at the front, shaped like garlic leaves, ribbon-shaped and fleshy.

2. Flower Differences

The flower stem of the deer onion is about 60 cm high, with two lanceolate bracts, about 6 cm long and 1.3 cm wide. The umbel has 4 to 8 small flowers, the flowers are light purple-red, and the perianth lobes are oblanceolate. It is about 7 cm long and 1.8 cm wide, with slightly wrinkled edges at the base, and the perianth tube is about 2 cm long.

The red spider lily has an umbel at the end, with 5 to 7 flowers in the inflorescence, and the petals are curled like dragon claws. The colors are red, white and yellow.
