How to clean orchid leaves

How to clean orchid leaves

1. Rainwater flushing

It is said that spring rain is as precious as oil, which shows that spring rain is the softest of the four seasons. In spring, you can move the orchid outdoors and wash it with the drizzle from nature. The dust on the orchid leaves will be washed away by the rain.

2. Rinse with spray bottle

If you encounter heavy rain in other seasons, it is not suitable for washing orchids. You can find a large tank to accumulate rainwater, put the rainwater into a fine spray bottle, and simulate spring rain to wash the orchid leaves. But please note that when using a spray bottle to wash the leaves of the plant, you must pay attention to the ventilation of the maintenance environment.

3. Watering method

When watering orchids, the first choice is rainwater, followed by river water. When conditions are really bad, the next best option is to use tap water that has been dried in the sun. When watering, use a fine-mouthed spray bottle to wet the entire orchid. Do not use a large ladle in the center of the flowerpot to pour water. The time for watering is also important. Usually, watering should be done in the morning and evening in summer. Do not water at noon to avoid affecting the growth of orchids. Do not water with cold water in autumn and winter, but water with clean water that has been dried in advance. As for the immersion method of watering flowers, it is usually used for orchid seedlings that have just been potted. It is best to water adult orchids with clean water.
