Leaf DifferenceThe leaves of Yarrow are sessile, lanceolate, oblong-lanceolate or nearly linear, about 5 to 7 cm long, 2 to 3 times pinnate-lobed, the rachis is about 1.5 to 2 mm wide, with many lobes in one time, 1.7 to 7 mm apart, the last lobe is lanceolate to linear, 0.5 to 1.5 mm long, 0.3 to 0.5 mm wide, with a short cartilaginous tip at the top. The leaves at the lower part of the stem of Motherwort are ovate in outline, with a broad cuneate base and three palmate lobes. The lobes are oblong rhombus to ovate, usually 2.5 to 6 cm long and 1.5 to 4 cm wide. The lobes are further divided, green on the upper side and light green on the lower side. 2. Flower DifferencesYarrow has a dense, 2 to 6 cm long compound cyme with a nearly round flower ligule that is white, pink or lavender in color.
