How to Identify Peonies

1. Branches

The flowering peony plant is in the shape of a small shrub, with a short and plump shape and evenly spread branches.

2. Blades

The leaves are dark green and light green on the back. The leaves are oval in shape, glossy and shiny in color. The veins are clear and the teeth are thick. Sometimes there are yellow spots or patches on the leaves, and the yellow patches are more obvious on the back of the leaves.

3. Flowers

In late autumn, white or pink funnel-shaped flowers appear on the top. The flowers are double-petaled and hibiscus-shaped. The petals of the peony are usually 30 to 35 in 3 to 4 whorls. The petals are wrinkled and twisted. Its buds are heart-shaped and brown in color. The base color of the flower is bright red with many white cloud spots or patches. The diameter of the flower is 10 to 14 cm.
