The difference between black orchid and gladiolus

1. Leaf Difference

The leaves of Mo Lan are usually 3 to 5 in number, ribbon-shaped, dark green, 45 to 80 cm long, 2 to 3 cm wide, shiny, and the leaf joints are 3 to 7 cm from the base.

The leaf base of gladiolus is alternate with the base of the flower stem. The leaves are sword-shaped, between 40 cm and 60 cm in length, about 2 to 4 cm wide, sheath-like at the base, gradually becoming pointed at the apex, arranged in two rows in a mosaic manner, and gray-green in color.

2. Petal Difference

The color of the petals of the black orchid varies greatly, usually dark purple or purple-brown. Generally, its flowers have a strong fragrance, and the petals are narrow and oval.

Gladiolus petals come in single or composite colors.
