Which is easier to grow, Asparagus fern or Cloud bamboo?

1. Cloud bamboo is easy to grow

Both of them are good ornamental plants and are quite popular. Their maintenance methods are similar. However, in terms of difficulty, asparagus fern is more difficult to grow, and it has more stringent requirements on the surrounding environment. Therefore, the following will introduce in detail what issues should be paid attention to during its maintenance process.

2. Maintenance methods of asparagus fern

(1) Watering in moderation: This is the most critical factor. If you water too little, the leaves will dry out easily due to insufficient water supply; if you water too much, the roots will easily rot. It is best to adjust according to the specific growth status of the plant and seasonal changes. In winter, spring and autumn, you can judge based on the dryness or wetness of the soil. You can alternate between large and small amounts of water. After three to five small waterings, water thoroughly again. However, it is different in summer, you need to water once in the morning and once in the evening.

(2) Avoid strong light: An appropriate amount of light intensity is necessary, but it cannot be strong light. Especially in summer, be sure to pay attention to shade.

(3) Fertilizer concentration: In spring and autumn, apply fertilizer approximately once every week. In winter, it happens every half a month to twenty days. Each time you apply fertilizer, you must pay more attention to its concentration and never make it too high.

(4) Location: Keep away from marble-like materials. Although the plants can absorb the harmful gases released by them, the amount will not be too much, which will pose a great threat to them.
