How to cultivate jade ornaments

How to cultivate jade ornaments

1. Soil

Normally, jade plants particularly like soil with good drainage so that their roots can breathe better. If the drainage is poor, the roots will have difficulty breathing and will rot. Therefore, when choosing soil, you can use some peat soil and granular soil in the same proportion to meet its soil requirements.

2. Temperature

Jade plants generally prefer an environment with a larger temperature difference, that is, the temperature can be higher during the day and slightly lower at night, but it cannot be higher than 33 degrees or lower than 4 degrees, otherwise it will enter a dormant state, thus affecting the normal growth of the plant. If the temperature drops to 0 degrees, it will easily get frostbite or die. So in winter, when you notice that the temperature has dropped below 5 degrees, you must quickly move it back indoors and place it in a sunny place so that it can spend the winter safely. In addition, when the temperature is high in summer, it is necessary to ensure good ventilation and avoid high temperatures.

3. Lighting

People who know it know that it likes light very much. In addition to the strong light in summer, it can enjoy the light to its heart's content. Whether it is full-day or half-day, it can grow well. And with sufficient light supply, its leaves will grow denser and look more beautiful. On the contrary, if there is insufficient light, it will easily grow too tall, and the appearance will not look good.

4. Fertilization

When fertilizing it, one thing you need to pay attention to is that it doesn't like nitrogen fertilizer very much, so you must reduce the amount of nitrogen fertilizer. We only need to apply a little liquid potassium fertilizer and phosphorus fertilizer to it once a month, so that it can grow more beautifully and become more beautiful to appreciate.
